Isaac came through his surgery today with flying colors. He is such a little trooper. It is obvious that he is in pain, but he tolerates it so well. He is on some heavy duty pain meds right now and we will continue that through the night obviously.......hoping that he can get some good sleep! He has been eating pretty well today. They encouraged us to let him get back to a normal diet asap....letting him lead the way basically. Salty foods are actually encouraged to speed healing! While in the recovery room he ate two popscicles and some saltines crackers. Heading out the door he was begging for McDonalds. :-O So, we took him. He wanted to eat it soooo badly, but it hurt! :( Poor baby!!!! He's been eating lots of popscicles today, which he loves. :) They gave him an oral sedative before the surgery to just calm any anxiety.......boy did that ever do the trick! LOL!! He got extremely loopy and SILLY!! It was quite comical! He was asking Daddy why they had two clocks on the wall instead of one....just so funny to watch. The anesthesiologist picked him up to take him to the operating room and he put both of his hands in his beard and in really slurred speech said, "Yooooooou haaaaaaave whiiiiiskerrrrs!! Are yoooooooou Saaantaaa??" LOL!! When we got back out to the waiting room we found out that the folks out there were being entertained by our boy too. They could hear him. LOL!! He will probably feel pretty puny for the next seven to ten days or so. He can't do any vigorous or rough and tumble play for 14 days........YES, two weeks!! No bike riding ...no running...YIKES!! That will be difficult for my guy.........difficult for Mom and Dad!! So happy to have this behind us! Now we can get busy recovering ....improved hearing, speech, etc. etc. Thanks for the prayers!

Wendy,
Praise God that Isaac is doing so well after surgery! We will continue praying for his recovery, and for you as you try to restrain his activity for the next 2 weeks! :O)
Hugs,

Oh my poor little Isaac looks so miserable. There is enough salt in that McDonald's food to heal him though! LOL
Praying he will be back to his old self soon@
I laughed SOOOO hard about the "are you santa claus" comment! Oh MY, but that is FUNNY! :D I hope Isaac is feeling better soon.
