Star Bible Camper

Miss Heidi Jo had a good time at camp this past week. She goes to Camp Indogan, a Christian Youth Camp that I attended as a kid. We feel so very fortunate to have such a good camp so close to us! My neice Kylie came up and was able to go to camp with Heidi. Heidi was a bit apprehensive about camp this year because she attended a different session this year than she has in previous years. The session she usually goes to is filled with kids from our own church and friends from other churches she knows from previous years and the director of that session is from our church. Heidi will be doing corn detasseling this summer and the date of her original camp session conflicts with the corn detasseling.....sigh! So, this session was a whole new experience for her! When we arrived to pick the girls up from camp they were happy and busy chatting and telling us all about their fun week! The ghost stories told made a big impact on both girls! ;).....they made a big impact on me too! YIKES!! Much scarier than the stories I remember hearing as a camper! We were so proud to find out that Heidi was awarded "Star Bible Camper" for the week. This award is given to one girl camper and one boy camper. She received a very nice plaque. She said she was surprised. We are soooo proud of you sweetie!

We are heading north this morning! Happy 4th of July!
