Jacob had his first game of the season tonight. He played first base for a bit, third base for a bit and pitched for a bit, which he was thrilled about! :) This is the league that the boys actually begin doing the pitching. The leagues before this have the coaches doing the pitching. So, because the boys are now pitching, the games last a very long time! LOL!! Tonight's game was about 2 1/2 hours long. Jacob did a really good job for his first time on the pitcher's mound! He did have his fair share of walks, but he also had quite a few strike outs too. Go Jacob! :) He really enjoys pitching because he is active and not just standing waiting for the ball to come to him! While he was playing third base I noticed him picking dirt off the ground and wiping it on his white pants. Yikes!! Those pants get dirty enough without wiping the dirt on there intentionally. lol! When I asked him why he was doing that........"I was BORED waiting for the ball to come to me!"Jacob got on base several times via a "walk". He got a couple foul balls, but is itching for a hit! ;)
