Kite Flying at the Breakfast Table

We had an awesome weekend with Gramps and Neena. They pulled into our driveway on Friday afternoon and were able to be here all weekend. :) It seems it was the week-end for paper airplanes. Isaac and Gracie kept Gramps extremely busy making airplanes. The floor was scattered with airplanes for the majority of the weekend.

Neena and I made a Wal-mart run on Saturday afternoon. Neena arrived home with a special treat for Isaac....The Complete First Season of Superman!! 26 episodes in all. These are the old Superman shows. The ones in black and white. Isaac jumped up and down when Neena took that box from the bag. :) He loses interest a bit during some of the story line, but as soon as Clark Kent tranforms into the big man with the cape the boy is glued. He was up at 5:30 this morning asking to watch Superman. :-O Jacob seems to enjoy these shows just as much as Isaac does. And, truth be told, Gramps seems pretty fond of them too. ;)

This morning the kids had their breakfast done fairly early....remember the day started at 5:30. ;) When it was time for Gramps' breakfast, Gracie was quite intrigued with what Gramps was doing and what he was eating. lol! She was standing extremely close and being very inquisitive. I was attempting to give Gracie a lesson on personal space, but my efforts were not working too well. lol! It was very obvious as to what Gramps was doing, but Gracie asked, "What cha doin' Gramps" Gramps whimsically responded with a chuckle, "Well, Gracie I'm flying a kite" LOL!!! Again, I encouraged Gracie to step back a bit and let Gramps eat his breakfast. ;) Gracie was standing in the chair next to Gramps. I was telling Gracie that she needed to sit down in her chair before she got hurt. Gramps said, "yeah Gracie, what ya doing in that chair?" And Gracie said, with a smirk on her face, "I'M FLYING A KITE!" Ha Ha Ha!!! We all just roared!! Not much gets past our Gracie girl!

Thinking and praying for all the families who lost loved ones on 9-11. May God wrap his comforting arms around them all.

God Bless,
Wendy
