Cupfuls of Love

One of my favorite flowers is the dandelion! During many times of the year dandelions are in abundant supply. They are actually a very beautiful color....bright and cheery. I think a field full of dandelions is very pretty! Once they go to seed, they provide an abundance of entertainment and lots of giggles as you send the seed sailing in the wind. And, no one cares if you pick them......and they're free!! These are all wonderful reasons to be fond of dandelions. But, the main reason that dandelions are one of my favorite flowers is that no other flower is given with so much love! Wouldn't you agree with that moms? The look on my children's faces when they round the corner with a fist full of these yellow posies is enough to get this Mama misty every time. The look of pride in what they've found, the look of eager anticipation at my reaction, and yes, the look of love! They are presenting me with a true gift of the heart. Each of my children has blessed me with these bright colored flowers. Each of them with the same eagerness and love. It is now Gracie and Isaac's turn to be the sweet givers of these bright yellow treasures. And I am the extremely proud and happy receiver of a gift of the heart. At certain times of the year you can always count on cups filled with pretty yellow posies to be adorning the decor of our home.....cupfuls of love!
