They ran, they jumped, they threw, but all good things must come to an end. Heidi's 2011 track season ended last Saturday. The girls had a great season! They placed 1st at our regional meet for the second year in a row. Don't know if that has ever happened at our school EVER! Pretty cool to be a part of it. We have not gotten 1st in our region since the 1970's. So, this was a huge accomplishment last year. Then to do it again this year....what a THRILL! The interesting part is that we don't have any seniors on the team, which means we should only get better next year. :)
Here are the girls at team state last Saturday. They placed 4th. GO TEAM!!!
Heidi's events were the mile, the two mile and the disc. Here are some action shots. :) She had an awesome year...just kept getting better and better. :) She pr'd (personal record) in the two mile at the state meet. And was just two seconds off a pr in the mile. Great way to end the season. GO HEIDI!!
Winding up for the big throw. :)

A bit of Heidi's fan club! ;)
Great job Heidi!! It's been an extreme joy watching you participate! I am so very happy that we figured out the problem with your legs and you have been able to run like the wind pain free!!! :)
