Heidi is in the midst of her first season of track and field. It's going GREAT! She LOVES it! :) The season is actually almost over. She has one final meet this coming Friday. During the course of the season she has run the 70 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash and the shot put. She's made a bunch of new friends. I've been impressed with the camaraderie of the team. They do an awesome job of supporting each other and cheering each other on. Tonight Heidi did the shot, the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. She improved her shot put throw by an amazing 5 feet tonight. Wowzers!!! :-O She has learned how to use the full circle to get some momentum behind it. It landed her second place in the event tonight.....the top finisher for her team. She also placed 4th in the 200. It's been a great experience for her. :) Oh, and the girls team that she is on is undefeated for the season.
