Perfect Peace

Ok, so there is a Bible verse that is continuing to pop up for me over and over again recently. Ever had that happen to you???

 One thing I really enjoy about summer time is that I have more time to read! I've discovered a new author this summer whom I really enjoy....Karen Kingsbury!! She writes Christian fiction. I am just beginning my 4th book of the summer. The verse I am speaking of popped up first this week in one of her books. Then again in a Bible study and then this morning a friend who lost her husband this week posted it to her facebook status saying...."One of the verses Bob wants us to remember"

 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33


Isn't that so incredibly comforting?!! No matter WHAT is going on in this life we have peace in HIM. A peace that passes all understanding. Perfect Peace. He has overcome the world!

This goes along with my word of the year....ease. Life will not be easy. Bad things happen around us all of the time. And sometimes bad things happen to us. "In this world you WILL have trouble" ....expect it because it WILL happen....the yucky, the bad, the trouble. But, it's OK. We do not have to be troubled with the trouble because he has overcome the world!!! We have peace....perfect peace in our soul in spite of the trouble. Our hearts and souls can be at EASE even when life is not easy!! Thank you Lord for a perfect peace that passes all understanding. Praying that his overwhelming peace will wash over all of us reguardless of our current circumstances. Especially praying today for my sweet friend WS!
